After School Program:
Project Uplifted currently operates a free after-school program for elementary-aged kids in the Asheboro, NC area. The program is held Monday-Thursday from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. The program consists of transportation to and from the center, homework help, daily activities, and a light meal.
Food and Utility Assistance
Through the donations of our sponsors and community grants, Project Uplifted is able to assist individuals and families with food and major utilities. The funds are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
June 2015 – Project Uplifted opens its Primary Location at 2306 W Meadowview Rd. Greensboro NC. The office is fitted for food and clothing donations and is staffed by volunteers.
October 2015 – Project Uplifted holds its first fall festival at Center City Park in downtown Greensboro. The event featured free food, games, bounce houses, poetry, and a live DJ.
January 2016 – Second location opens at 1822 N Fayetteville St. Asheboro, NC 27203. Office is set up for after-school care, counseling, and a computer center.
August 2016 - Project Uplifted holds its first Back-to-School Book Bag Give-Away. One hundred backpacks full of supplies are given away to the Randolph and Guilford County communities.
Project Uplifted offers a free after-school program in Asheboro, NC for low-income families. Currently, we only provide this service at our second location, 1822 N Fayetteville St, Asheboro, NC 27203.
Project Uplifted operates a clothing closet for individuals of all ages, sizes, and sex. It is located at 2306 W Meadowview Rd. Suite 109 Greensboro, NC 27407 by appointment only.
